Springbank Local Barley 16 year old Glenfiddich Keith Richard’s and Jimmy PageSpringbank 16 Years Old Local Barley was distilled in September 1999 and bottled in January 2016 at 54. 3%. The whisky matured for 16 years in a combination of ex bourbon and ex Oloroso sherry casks. It is the first in a series of five Local Barley releases from the distillery. The barley used was grown at Low Machrimore Farm, just a few miles away from the Springbank distillery. It was then malted at the distillery itself, and the whisky was bottled
