For context, the most heavily peated whisky ever recorded is Octomore 8. 3, which came in at an eye watering 309. 1 PPM. This edition brings together heavy weight peating levels and variable harvests from one singular farm on Islay. The idea was to balance the formidable smoke with ripe fruit, driven by slow distillation, and the malty, salty goodness of the local barley. It was bottled at a big 61. 3%
