The boys, likely brothers, appear to be posing in a studio, with one seating and one standing. The frame is made of wood and seems to have a celluloid or other marbled coating with painted details. The matting is hand cut with ruffled details and pen and ink lines. There are three mattes in all within the frame. The frame measures 9.
