The Greek goddess of wisdom, Athene, was often depicted with an owl, as was her Roman counterpart Minerva. This finely wrought charm was originally an antique Victorian stick pin (circa 1870 1900). We removed the pin stem and welded on a 14k gold jump ring bail to transform the piece into a charm. The owl is 14k gold (unmarked, but acid tested) with rose cut diamond eyes. The owl
