1870s Aesthetic Movement Moser Art Glass Vase Raised Gold decor, Monumental 16" clothing the National Gallery in WashingtonThis beautiful cylindrical vase is from the aesthetic period, dated around the 1870s. The body of this bohemian art glass vase ranges in color from translucent white to a deep amethyst at the base. The piece is finished with a flared opalescent foot. On each side are very interesting applied glass strap handles and beautiful gilt decoration throughout. This piece is not signed, but because of its quality and unusualness we believe it to be Moser.
