I fail to see the benefit of the negative clauses on this card

Just like the core FF games, these are powerful artifacts and weapons that buff your heroes with better stats and abilities, and there are plenty of cards that will help you build a party around your items and go digging through your deck for the best ones

Riptide Gearhulk sees the most play in Constructed 1v1 and Commander, based on the fact that its a form of blinkable removal, and it even fits as a control finisher

Best March of the Machine cards MTG Thalia and The Gitrog Monster Urabrask/The Great Work Pile On Zephyr Singer Invasion of Shandalar/Leyline Surge Polukranos Reborn/Polukranos, Engine of Ruin Sunfall Invasion of New Phyrexia/Teferi Akosa of Zhalfir Sword of Once and Future Invasion of Innistrad/Deluge of the Dead Its no surprise that there are some excellent creature cards in March of the Machine given that classic MTG characters are teaming up to combine abilities and appear on the same cards - not to mention the massive multiversal war thats raging at the moment

Their intended design is to get rid of a problematic nonbasic land and force your opponent to replace it with a basic land
