While you have a low land count you don't need much mana to go nuts
It can remove your attackers or blockers from combat too (which can let you attack or block again that turn instead of dealing damage in the first combat), but I usually use it just to draw 2 at the end of my opponents turn before a situation arises in which I care about that effect
