Interrogative Pronoun (प्रश्नवाचक सर्वनाम) in Hindi

क्या आप जानते है? हम जीवन मे जो कुछ सीखते है उसके पीछे बहुत से प्रश्न होते है। प्रश्न हमारे मन मे उठते है और हम उनका जवाब तलाशते-तलाशते कितना कुछ सीख जाते है। और जब आप प्रश्न पूछते है तो अक्सर पाँच मुख्य Interrogative Pronoun (इन्टरॉगटिव प्रोनाउन) का भी उपयोग करते है। आइए बहुत अच्छे से इन्हे समझते है।

ये पाँच Interrogative Pronouns हैं: who (कौन, किसने), Whom (किसे), What (क्या), Which (कौन, कौनसा),and Whose (किसका)। जब ये किसी वाक्य मे प्रश्न पूछने की भूमिका निभाते है तब इन्हे Interrogative Pronouns कहते है। एक उदाहरण समझने के लिए लेते है, जैसे:
प्रश्न: Which is your favorite type of pet? (आपका पसंदीदा पालतू जानवर कौनसा है?)
उत्तर: My favorite type of pet is a dog. (मेरा पसंदीदा पालतू जानवर कुत्ता है।)

यहाँ हमने प्रश्न पूछने के लिए 'Which' जो की एक Interrogative Pronoun हैं उसका प्रयोग किया और हमे जवाब 'चॉकलेट फ्लेवर' के रूप मे प्राप्त हुआ जो की एक Noun है। इस प्रकार हम आगे बहुत से उदाहरणों से इसे समझेंगे।

Definition of a Interrogative Pronoun

वो Pronoun जिसका प्रयोग किसी प्रश्न को पूछने के लिए किया जाता है उसे Interrogative Pronoun कहते है। ये मुख्यत: what, which, who, whom and whose होते है।

The pronoun that is used to ask a question is called an interrogative pronoun. These mainly include what, which, who, whom, and whose.

Types of Interrogative Pronoun

Interrogative Pronoun 'Who' - who मतलब कौन, जब आप किसी person अर्थात किसी व्यक्ति के बारे मे पूछते है तो इंग्लिश मे who का प्रयोग करते है, यहाँ जवाब आपको वाक्य मे सब्जेक्ट के रूप मे प्राप्त होता है। जैसे:
Q: Who wrote the famous novel "To Kill a Mockingbird"?
A: Harper Lee wrote the famous novel "To Kill a Mockingbird".
यहाँ who भी वाक्य का सब्जेक्ट है और जवाब मिला Harper Lee, वो भी वाक्य का सब्जेक्ट है।

Interrogative Pronoun 'Whom' - Whom मतलब किसको या किसके, जब आप Whom का प्रयोग करेगे, तब पूछेंगे तो किसी person अर्थात व्यक्ति के बारे मे ही, लेकिन यहाँ जवाब आपको वाक्य मे ऑब्जेक्ट के रूप मे प्राप्त होता है। जैसे:
Q: Whom did you see at the concert last night?
A: I saw my friends at the concert last night.
यह जो जवाब मिला वो है friends, जो जवाब वाले वाक्य मे ऑब्जेक्ट है।

Interrogative Pronoun 'What' - what मतलब क्या, जब आप what का प्रयोग किया जाता है, तो हमारे मन मे जो प्रश्न होता है वो किसी Thing अर्थात किसी वस्तु विशेष के बारे मे होता है, यहाँ जवाब आपको वाक्य मे ऑब्जेक्ट के रूप मे प्राप्त होता है। जैसे:
Q: What did you study in college?
A: I studied computer science in college.
यह जो जवाब मिला वो है computer science, जो जवाब वाले वाक्य मे ऑब्जेक्ट है।

Interrogative Pronoun 'Which' - Which का मतलब होता है किसका, कौनसा आदि, Which का प्रयोग प्रश्न मे person यानि की व्यक्ति एवं Things यानि वस्तु विशेष, दोनों के लिए किया जाता है, यहाँ जवाब आपको वाक्य मे सब्जेक्ट और ऑब्जेक्ट दोनों मे से किसी के भी रूप मे प्राप्त हो सकता है। जैसे:
Q: Which is your favorite time to exercise?
A: Early morning is my favorite time to exercise.
यह जो जवाब मिला वो है Early morning, जो जवाब वाले वाक्य मे सब्जेक्ट है।
Q: Which do you enjoy more, reading or watching movies?
A: I enjoy reading books more than watching movies.
यह जो जवाब मिला वो है books, जो जवाब वाले वाक्य मे ऑब्जेक्ट है।

Interrogative Pronoun 'Whose' - Whose का मतलब प्रश्न मे होता है किसका आदि, Whose का प्रयोग भी प्रश्न मे person यानि की व्यक्ति एवं Things यानि वस्तु विशेष, दोनों के लिए किया जाता है, यहाँ जवाब आपको वाक्य मे Possessive Noun या Pronoun के रूप मे प्राप्त होता है। यहाँ Whose एक Interrogative Determiners भी है। जैसे:
Q: Whose book is this on the table?
A: This book on the table belongs to Raveena.
यह जो जवाब मिला वो है Raveena, जो जवाब वाले वाक्य मे Possessive Noun के रूप मे है।
Q: Whose handwriting is on this letter?
A: The handwriting on this letter is mine.
यह जो जवाब मिला वो है mine, जो जवाब वाले वाक्य मे Possessive Pronoun है।

आईए अब Interrogative Pronoun के उदाहरणों को विस्तार से लेते है, आपको प्रश्न पढ़ना है, उत्तर नहीं। पहले प्रश्न का उत्तर स्वयं देने कोशिश कीजिए, बाद मे उत्तर को पढिए, जिससे इंग्लिश की प्रैक्टिस भी हो।

उत्तर हमे सब्जेक्ट के रूप मे प्राप्त होगा।
Q: Who founded Microsoft Corporation? (माइक्रोसॉफ्ट कॉर्पोरेशन की स्थापना किसने की?) A: Microsoft Corporation was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen. (माइक्रोसॉफ्ट कॉरपोरेशन की स्थापना बिल गेट्स और पॉल एलन ने की थी।)
Q: Who is the owner of the house across the street? (सड़क के पार वाले घर का मालिक कौन है?) A: The owner of the house across the street is Mr. Ravi Kumar. (सड़क के पार वाले घर के मालिक श्री रवि कुमार हैं।)
Q: Who is the inventor of the electric car? (इलेक्ट्रिक कार का आविष्कारक कौन है?) A: The inventor of the electric car is Elon Musk. (इलेक्ट्रिक कार के आविष्कारक एलोन मस्क हैं।)
Q: Who is the creator of the popular video game? (लोकप्रिय वीडियो गेम का निर्माता कौन है?) A: The creator of the popular video game is Shigeru Miyamoto. (लोकप्रिय वीडियो गेम के निर्माता शिगेरु मियामोतो हैं।)
Q: Who is the author of the book you're reading? (आप जो किताब पढ़ रहे हैं उसका लेखक कौन है?) A: The author of the book I'm reading is J.K. Rowling. (मैं जो किताब पढ़ रहा हूं उसके लेखक जे.के. राउलिंग हैं।)

Interrogative Pronoun 'Whom'
उत्तर हमे ऑब्जेक्ट के रूप मे प्राप्त होगा।
Q: Whom did you consult for advice? (आपने किससे सलाह ली?) A: We consulted our mentor for advice. (हमने सलाह के लिए अपने गुरु से सलाह ली।)
Q: Whom did you invite to the party? (आपने पार्टी में किसे आमंत्रित किया?) A: I invited my friends and family to the party. (मैंने अपने दोस्तों और परिवार को पार्टी में आमंत्रित किया।)
Q: Whom did you appoint as the project manager? (आपने प्रोजेक्ट मैनेजर के रूप में किसे नियुक्त किया?) A: We appointed Sarah as the project manager. (हमने सारा को प्रोजेक्ट मैनेजर नियुक्त किया।)
Q: Whom did you ask for help with the presentation? (प्रेजेंटेशन के लिए आपने किससे मदद मांगी?) A: I asked Sarah for help with the presentation. (मैंने प्रेजेंटेशन के लिए सारा से मदद मांगी।)
Q: Whom did you vote for in the election? (आपने चुनाव में किसे वोट दिया?) A: I voted for the candidate who promised to improve education. (मैंने उस उम्मीदवार को वोट दिया जिसने शिक्षा में सुधार का वादा किया था।)

Interrogative Pronoun 'What'
उत्तर हमे ऑब्जेक्ट के रूप मे प्राप्त होगा।
Q: What are your hobbies? (आपके शौक क्या हैं?) A: My hobbies are painting and playing the guitar. (पेंटिंग करना और गिटार बजाना मेरा शौक है।)
Q: What is your favorite subject in school? (स्कूल में आपका पसंदीदा विषय क्या है?) A: My favorite subject in school is mathematics. (स्कूल में मेरा पसंदीदा विषय गणित है।)
Q: What did you have for breakfast? (आप नाश्ते के लिए क्या लिया है?) A: For breakfast, I had cereal and toast. (नाश्ते में मैंने अनाज और टोस्ट खाया।)
Q: What did you learn from the workshop? (वर्कशॉप से आपने क्या सीखा?) A: I learned new techniques for effective communication. (मैंने प्रभावी कम्युनिकेशन के लिए नई तकनीकें सीखीं।)
Q: What did you discuss at the meeting? (आपने बैठक में क्या चर्चा की?) A: We discussed the upcoming product launch. (हमने आगामी उत्पाद लॉन्च पर चर्चा की।)

Interrogative Pronoun 'Which'
उत्तर हमे सब्जेक्ट या ऑब्जेक्ट के रूप मे प्राप्त होगा।
Q: Which is your favorite holidays? (आपकी पसंदीदा छुट्टी कौन सी है?) A: My favorite holiday is Diwali. (मेरी पसंदीदा छुट्टी दिवाली है।)
Q: Which is your favorite type of music? (आपका पसंदीदा संगीत कौन सा है?) A: My favorite type of music is classical indian music. (मेरा पसंदीदा संगीत भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत है।)
Q: Which made a bigger impact on you, a book or a film? (किसी किताब या फिल्म में से किसने आप पर अधिक प्रभाव डाला?) A: A book made a bigger impact on me. (एक किताब ने मुझ पर बड़ा प्रभाव डाला।)
Q: Which is your favorite way to relax? (आपका आराम करने का पसंदीदा तरीका कौनसा है?) A: My favorite way is reading a book in a cozy corner. (मेरा पसंदीदा तरीका एक आरामदायक कोने में किताब पढ़ना है।)
Q: Which is your favorite time to exercise? (व्यायाम करने के लिए आपका पसंदीदा समय कौन सा है?) A: My favorite time is early morning. (मेरा पसंदीदा समय सुबह का है।)

Interrogative Pronoun 'Whose'
यहाँ Whose एक Interrogative Determiners भी है, उत्तर हमे possessive Noun या pronoun के रूप मे प्राप्त होगा।
Q: Whose car did you borrow? (आपने किसकी कार उधार ली थी?) A: I borrowed Rahul's car. (मैंने राहुल की कार उधार ली थी.)
Q: Whose bag is this on the chair? (कुर्सी पर यह बैग किसका है?) A: That bag on the chair is mine. (कुर्सी पर रखा वह बैग मेरा है।)
Q: Whose house did he visit last weekend? (पिछले सप्ताहांत वह किसके घर गया था?) A: He visited my house last weekend. (वह पिछले सप्ताहांत मेरे घर आये।)
Q: Whose shoes are these by the door? (दरवाजे के पास ये किसके जूते हैं?) A: Those shoes by the door are hers. (दरवाजे के पास वाले जूते उसके हैं।)
Q: Whose idea was it to have a picnic in the park? (पार्क में पिकनिक मनाने का विचार किसका था?) A: The idea to have a picnic in the park came from Vivek and Reena. (पार्क में पिकनिक मनाने का विचार विवेक और रीना का था।)
